    Hi Jake,
You are so lucky! I have also had a great time in center parcs but no where near as nice as your trip sounded. Maybe next time you can go into more detail. Thank you for telling me about your experience!:-)

I am Jake’s Grandma but I only answer to Granny!

We did indeed have a great time together but Jakey has forgotten to mention (and he was incredibly impressed at the time) that on the first afternoon we walked around le Marais which is where many Jewish Parisians lived. There one can now visit a moving Shoah (which means the Holocaust) Memorial. We could hardly believe the huge numbers of Jewish families whose names are engraved on stones which make the walls as you go in. Jakey found whole families of maybe 20 people who were wiped out. Inside there was a huge space like a crypt in a church but it was not a synagogue – it simply felt sacred. In the centre was a perpetual flame which means it never goes out. Like the oil lamps in synagogues above the Torah.
