The answer is a man. As a baby, it crawls on all fours, Man , two legs, and walking stick for a old man. I read the greek myth about Oedipus and the Sphinx at my house.
Hello, thank you for your riddle. I think I have an answer for you. Is it man kind? I think this because the day is is actualy a life time and babies (morning) crawl on all fours, adults (afternoon) walk and elders (evening) have walking sticks so over all three legs. Is that the answer. Do you know any other riddles. Because I love them!
The answer is human because when your a baby you crawl which is 4 legs and when your a man you have 2 legs which is walking and when your a old man you have 3 legs which is walking with a waling stick.
the answor to your riddle is a person.
at birrth it crawls (4 legs.)
when you grow up you walk(2 legs)
and when you are olde you have e walking-stick(3 legs)
Hello Mrs Ashraf,
I found this riddle very puzzling at first but then I realised it was a human! This is because ‘in the morning’ is a metaphor for a baby which crawls using 4 limbs. An adolescent has 2 legs when he has learnt to walk and an old person might need a cane, therefore he is using a third leg.
Please can you blog back to me to tell me if I am right.
Thank you very much.
Well done Rafi…you are right, I didn’t set this riddle- Paul the Night Zoo Keeper did. I am sure he will be very impressed with your deduction and thinking skills! Did you like this would you like more riddles on the blog?
I do love riddles! I know the answer like everyone else, a human, but do you think you could do a weekly riddle which people can answer via the comments like we did here? It would be a good stimulating task to have fun with each week!
Yes. I really liked the idea of putting a riddle up on the blog and maybe it could become a weekly thing like the 100 word challenge. Thank you once again for giving me this opportunity.
This is an awesome set of answers! I really enjoyed reading through them all. You have been very thorough with your answers. The Old Sea Lion General was very impressed when I showed him! He would not tell me the answer though, as he is a very stubborn old animal!
However, he did say this to me:
“They did very well Night Zookeeper, very well indeed! I wonder if they have any creative answers for this: What is as big as an elephant, looks like an elephant, but has no weight?”
I think I know the answer. Is it a human?
Is it man?
Four legs: baby crawling, Two legs: man walking, Three legs: old man with cane…
The answer is a man!
