I really like how you’ve hooked the reader in from the start and have found interesting words and phrases to describe how you are feeling as this can be tricky to do. You’ve used some great descriptive words throughout, I love that the dangers were lurking ahead – I wonder what would happen next if you had another 100 words, do you know? Great writing 🙂
