I like the beginning of your story how you give some background about Fred, it really helped to build a picture of him and how he was feeling. I wonder what will happen if he plays the game? Jut remember ‘bored’ is a feeling of a lack of interest and ‘board’ refers to the wooden or flat piece of material such as a game board or chalkboard or can be used when talking about boarding the bus.
